Essential Info

Minimum Spend
By booking in their private function session, the booking organizer acknowledges and agrees that the final spend of the organizer and/or the group must meet the minimum spend that is applicable to their booked function session. If the total spend of the organizer and the group combined does not meet the minimum amount, the organizer is liable in paying the difference as a venue hire fee.

Deposits
All private function bookings for Cream House Cafe require $100 as a deposit at the time of booking. The remainder of the minimum spend and any other client purchases can be paid in the venue at the conclusion of the event.


Cancellations 
Change of mind cancellations are not possible and should the booking organizer  wish to cancel their booking for a reason that is not covered under the force majeure clause, the paid deposit will be charged as a cancellation fee and will not be returned to the booking organizer.


Corporate Clients
If you are making a booking on behalf of a business or corporation and are not able to pay the deposit online via card payment, please let us know by text us at 0452 109 078 and we can arrange an invoice for you to pay your deposit via bank transfer instead. 


Force Majeure
Should circumstances arise that make holding a private function impossible for both the booking organizer  and the venue, such as but not limited to; a natural disaster, government lock-down, force of nature or act of terrorism, preventing both parties from proceeding with a booked event at that date and time, Cream House will refund 100% of the payments made by the booking organizer to Cream House, less any reasonable costs incurred by Cream House in preparation for the event. Cream House will not be liable for any expenses the booking organizer has incurred in their preparation for the booking.
If one party is still able to proceed (eg. some guests are unable to attend, but the venue is still able to proceed with a booking at that date and time) then the force majeure clause does not apply.


COVID-19
The booking organizer acknowledges that they will comply with any covid-19 restrictions imposed by the government at the time of the event and that any resulting changes to guest numbers, food and beverage choices, standing or dancing will affect the event but not make it impossible for both parties to proceed with, and as a result the force majeure clause does not apply and the standard terms for cancelling and rescheduling still apply instead.


Minors
Minors of all age are welcome attend to private functions, but guardian must supervise and keep an eye on them if the minor is between 1 to 17 years of age. Minors are not to remain on the premises once the function has ended and can not enter any areas that are not a part of the booked function space.


Furniture and Setups
The venue provides a range of furniture items that can be used by the client with no additional charges. There are no charges or fees for different function setups.

Organizer and Decorator Setup
The venue guarantees 30 minutes of organizer/decorator access period before the booking start time. Booking organizers are welcome to contact the bookings team to request earlier start time for this access period, but this may not be possible and is not guaranteed. 
Booking organizers are liable for any damage to the venue (including, but not limited to, wall paint) caused by decorations and decorators involved with their private function bookings.
All organizers are expected to share the document 'Information for Private Decorators & Suppliers' with any decorators or suppliers. This document is available for download on the functions page of our website, and can also be obtained from the bookings team.


Smoking
Indoor smoking is strictly not permitted in Cream House Cafe.


Food and Drink Choices
When clients book in, they must confirm their food and drink menu choices by 7 days before the booking, and then final guest numbers by 5 days before the booking.
If clients do not provide this information by the final cut-off date 5 days before the booking, our team will need to proceed with the last numbers and dietaries received.

Cakes and Outside Food
BYO Food is not permitted except for cakes. If you wish to bring other outside food for consumption inside the venue  we apologize but this is not permitted


BYO Drinks
Private function guests are more then welcome to bring wines and sparkling wines only, we will charge a corkage fee $20 per bottle. Outside beers are strictly not allow to bing in the venue, otherwise it will be removed from the function and the property and not allowed re-entry. It is the responsibility of the booking organizer to ensure this does not occur.


Damages
The client accepts that the cost to repair or replace any Cream House Cafe furnishings, fittings or equipment that have become damaged as a result of the actions of their guests, will be the responsibility of the client.


Responsible service and alcohol
Management and staff, in accordance with the Liquor Act 1992, will ensure that the service of alcohol to all guests is done so responsibly. Staff at all times have the right to refuse service or modify service to those who appear unduly intoxicated, and management will support the staff in doing so. The stockpiling of drinks by guests will not be permitted, and venue staff will be tasked with preventing this.
If a patron is deemed to be unduly intoxicated or disorderly, they will be removed from the venue and management can not legally allow them to finish their drinks. Refunds will not be given to those guests being removed.


Privacy
Venue management reserves the right to use any photographs and images taken of the spaces booked during the event, provided they are taken by an employee or contractor of the venue and are for the legitimate purpose of advertising or marketing.
Furthermore it is a condition of entry to the venue that all photography and videography content or likewise created by venue employees or contractors taken at the venue will remain the intellectual property of the venue and be able to be used at it's discretion in any digital, online, website or physical use where deemed appropriate
